Mantua Reservoir and State Parks

Utah State Parks is currently engaging with our valued stakeholders regarding the possibility of adding Mantua Reservoir to the Utah State Parks System.
These talks are in their initial stages, and no agreements have yet been made.
Mantua Reservoir remains operational as it traditionally has.
This item was recently included in the Governor’s budget. This is an initial step toward securing funding should an agreement be reached.
Utah State Parks has a successful history or partnering with other entities in managing outdoor recreation in existing popular areas.
These agreements have included agencies such as the Bureau of Reclamation, the Bureau of Land Management, Emery Water Conservation District, Washington County Water Conservancy District, and more.
Examples of some parks in these types of agreements are Jordanelle, Willard Bay, Yuba, Sand Hollow, and Gunlock State Parks.
Utah State Parks will continue to work with Mantua Town, Brigham City, Box Elder County, and other stakeholders throughout this discussion and planning process.
