NOW HIRING: PUBLIC WORKS YOUTH WORKER
Town of Mantua, Utah
The Town of Mantua is seeking local youth (ages 14–17) to assist with town beautification and municipal 
operations. This is an excellent opportunity to gain professional experience, learn how a city functions, and 
serve your community seasonal or year-round.
Position Overview
• Wage: $10.00 per hour
• Hours: 10–15 hours per week (Seasonal/ Year-round)
• Eligibility: Youth ages 14–17 residing in or near Mantua
Primary Responsibilities
• Town Beautification: Maintain flower beds through weeding, planting, and seasonal landscaping.
• Litter & Debris Management: Keep streets, parks, and gutters clear of trash and fallen leaves.
• Maintenance & Shop Support: Assist with sweeping shop areas, painting curbs, or park upkeep.
• Event Support: Help with setup and cleanup for community events.
• Seasonal Prep: Assist with winterizing public spaces and manual snow prep (shoveling/ice melt).
Requirements & Safety
• Safety First: In compliance with Utah law, youth workers will not operate heavy machinery, power driven saws, or perform work in trenches.
• Physical Ability: Must be comfortable working outdoors and performing light manual labor.
• Reliability: Must have reliable transportation to the Public Works shop or town hall.
Interview Process:
Selected candidates will be contacted for an interview with Mayor Annette Ash and Public Works Director 
Marcus Abel.
