Baseball in Mantua

Many years ago Mantua had a baseball team called the “Mantua Holsteins”. Leon Johnson and Harper Jeppsen played on that team. They would have primarily competed against other amateur town teams in Box Elder County, such as teams from nearby Brigham City (who had a team called the Brigham Peaches) and Tremonton (the Tremonton Bears).
